Description

These plates would be a great birthday present for someone turning 50 years old this year. Note it is also exactly 30 years this year since these (one owner) plates were issued.

They are also quite special in that they are from a limited edition series issued by Queensland Transport especially to promote EXPO 88 held in 1988 in Southbank Brisbane, and are marked "QLD. EXPO STATE" and "WORLD EXPO-88"

As can be seen in the photos the condition of the plates could be described as reasonable (as removed from my wife's MGB many years ago, They have been in storage since) with a few wrinkles at some of the edges, minor paint loss at the screw holes and a little surface rust on the back of one plate. (refer photos). I have not attempted to tidy the plates up, expecting that the purchaser may prefer to do so if considered necessary.
