William Bligh was the 4th Governor of NSW and stamped out the corruption of Macarthur''s Rum Corps before the Blue Bloods had him returned to England. Prior to that he was the Captain of the ill fated HMS BOUNTY of which he lost command to the mutinous Fletcher Christian. Bligh and 17 loyal crew were put in an 18'' single sail open boat but, with only a sextant, successfully navigated them 4800 nautical miles to the Dutch East Indies. Bligh was Nelson''s youngest Navel Commander and father of 6.
